Drug & Alcohol Privacy Policy
Confidentiality of Drug & Alcohol Records
Federal law provides additional protections for records related to alcohol and drug treatment. This notice explains how that information is handled.
Confidentiality Protections
CRG may not disclose any information that identifies a patient as participating in a substance use program unless:

The patient provides written consent

A court order requires disclosure
​
Disclosure is necessary for a medical emergency
​
Disclosure is permitted for approved research, audit, or evaluation
Important Exceptions
These protections do not apply to:

Crimes committed or threatened
​
Reports of suspected child abuse or neglect (as required by law)
